Ivo Michalick

Ivo Michalick is a project management professional with nearly 40 years of experience in project management. He holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science, along with PMP and PMI-SP credentials from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a CPCC credential from the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). He has extensive experience managing large projects, portfolios and programs across industries including information technology, mining, energy, defense, health, oil and gas, logistics and telecommunications, both in Brazil and abroad, including three years working in the United States. He possesses deep knowledge of organizational project management in multicultural environments and a strong command of Power Skills.

From 2005 to 2025, Ivo held several leadership positions as a PMI volunteer at both local and global levels, including a term as Chapter President. He is a graduate of the PMI Leadership Institute Master Class program (Class of 2012) and a recognized speaker and author of articles published in Brazil and abroad. He also contributed to the books Projetos Brasileiros: Casos Reais de Gerenciamento (Brasport, 2007), Gestão de Projetos Brasil (IETEC, 2013), Gerenciamento de Projetos em Tirinhas (Brasport, 2015), Say Yes to Project Success (Notion Press, 2017) and Professional Leader (Brasport, 2019).

In recent years, Ivo has been at the forefront of integrating AI tools into capital project and PMO environments. Working hands-on with tools such as Claude, Claude for Excel, Cowork and NotebookLM, he has built AI-augmented workflows that have delivered complex technical documents in a fraction of the traditional time, with productivity gains of up to 6x on analytical and documentation-intensive tasks. He applies this experience to help organizations harness AI not to replace their people, but to multiply what each professional can achieve.
